Allah Hu Akhbar!

I'm always finding interesting blogs on the Web, but this one is a true gem: Shalom Rav, written by Rabbi Brant Rosen of the Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation in Evanston, Illinois. He's heading up a group of Jews and Christians visiting different cities in Iran, where he's currently blogging from. (Alas, two Muslims in his original group were apparently denied visas for the trip.) It's been a moving and eye-opening experience reading Rabbi Rosen's posts about his and his group's interactions with people who could be called Muslim progressives. He's also quick to remind his readers that Iranians -- Islamics and Jews alike (of which there are thousands) -- are all profoundly proud of their rich and ancient history, which is inextricably tied to spiritualism. -- KT
